Baney Media is a full-service High-Definition television and video production company specializing in documentary and factual programming, corporate media production, production for international development and aid agencies, and programs about personal finance. We are located in Arlington, Virginia.

  • Tim Baney

    Tim Baney - President and Owner

    Tim Baney is founder and owner of Baney Media, LLC. Tim has 23 years experience as a executive producer, producer, director, writer and editor of documentary television and documentary-style video. His work has been aired on ABC-TV, NBC-TV, National Geographic, The Discovery Channel, A&E, PBS, The History Channel, CourtTV (now TruTV), HGTV, Fine Living, and over a dozen nations worldwide. Tim has won Six Cine Golden Eagles, and multiple Telly Awards, International Peer Awards, Aurora Awards, Cinematographer Awards.

    As an executive producer, a series producer, and producer Tim has created over a hundred hours of programming from research to final finishing.

  • Daphne Glover Ferrier

    Daphne Glover Ferrier - Producer

    Daphne combines her production experience with experience in international relations and language skills. In twelve years in television, her background in international development has added value to projects such as Beyond the Movie: Troy, for National Geographic, and Cine award winning Up From Zero produced for PBS. Daphne also produced Window of Hope, a Cine award winning educational documentary for the World Bank on HIV/AIDS education in Africa, which was shot on location in Kenya and Ghana. She most recently produced an award winning series of educational documentaries on international development and public health issues shot on location in Africa and the Middle East, which were broadcast internationally.

  • Patrick Prentice

    Patrick Prentice - Producer

    Winner of Five Emmy Awards and an Oscar Nomination, Patrick Prentice is one of the premier documentary filmmakers in the country. His work includes The Sinking of the Battleship Belgrano for PBS, Pearl Harbor Legacy of Attack for National Geographic plus dozens of others. Patrick also served as Senior Producer for National Geographic's flagship series Explorer, producing 30 original films a year. He is also a novelist and screenwriter.

  • Don Bundy

    Don Bundy - Executive Producer: "Behind the Crisis"

    Professor Donald Bundy is the World Bank's Lead Specialist on school health. Before joining the World Bank in 2000, he was Professor of Epidemiology at the University of Oxford. He has worked in the field of international child health and development for 30 years, and has been a pioneer in making the connection between children's health and their education. Don has worked with development programs in more than 110 countries, and has published more than 330 books and scientific papers, and three award-winning documentaries.

  • Russ Hull

    Russ Hull - Producer and Editor

    Originally from the Texas Hill country, Russ graduated from American University with dual degrees in Film and Spanish. While with Baney Media, he has edited programming for National Geographic, The World Bank, Partnership for Child Development, International Relief and Development, and Operation Lifesaver. He worked as an associate producer on the Discovery Channel's 2009 special "Somali Pirate Takedown: The Real Story" and an editor on the upcoming National Geographic special "Megaquakes"
